Scholarship Opportunity

CUB MEMBERS & CITY EMPLOYEES: Times are unquestionably difficult for us all. There's an added burden if you're trying to pay college tuition during this time. Nationwide and the City of Baltimore Retirement Savings Plan & Deferred Compensation Plan has a scholarship opportunity for young people whose parents or grandparents are city employees that meet the qualifications. Take a look at the flyer and see if your young scholar is eligible for one of the scholarships

City of Baltimore Retirement Savings Plan/Deferred Compensation Plan SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

If you are enrolled in or participate in and contribute to the City 401(a) Retirement Savings Plan or the 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan, your high school graduate could win $2500 for college!

Nationwide and the City of Baltimore's Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) and Deferred Compensation Plan (DCP) will award five college scholarships - each worth $2500 - to five high school graduating seniors whose parents or grandparents participate in the 401(a) RSP and/or 457(b) DCP.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduating high school seniors who are legal U.S. residents are eligible to apply.
  • Applicant's parent or grandparent must be enrolled in and contribute to the 401(a) Retirement Savings Plan or 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan.
  • RSP & DCP employees, RSP Board members and the immediate family members of both are not eligible to apply.

TO APPLY

Application must be submitted to Brittney Keys, Program Manager no later than July 15, 2020 at bkeys@bcers.org. Scholarship winners will be notified on August 1.
